Arabic Ensemble

Layali is an orchestra dedicated to Arabic music, shaped around your event - the couple's origins, the guest profile, the atmosphere you're after. The project draws on a network of specialist musicians - from the Maghreb to the Middle East - and comes in different formats, from duo to full orchestra. In cocktail format: a duo built around the oud, paired with a string instrument of choice - Oriental violin, cello, qanun... The repertoire is tailored to the audience. In orchestra format: the project expands with a Middle Eastern singer, drawing on one of three registers - Arabic classical: Oum Kalthoum, Fairuz, modernized muwashshah - Arabic pop: Nancy Ajram, Amr Diab and contemporary Arabic pop - Maghrebi: Moroccan chaabi, raï, Tunisian malouf This versatility makes Layali a particularly fitting choice for cross-cultural weddings, diplomatic events and intercultural gatherings.
